Data Protection​

How Your Data is Handled​

  • Secure Transfer: All screenshots are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Zero Storage: Your chart images are deleted immediately after analysis
  • Secure Processing: Charts are analyzed by secure services for insights
  • No Retention: ChartLense does not store your trading charts or personal data

What Gets Analyzed​

When you click "Analyze this chart":

  1. ChartLense captures a screenshot of the visible chart
  2. The image is sent securely for analysis
  3. You receive the analysis results
  4. The screenshot is immediately deleted

Blackout Tool​

Hide Sensitive Information​

The Blackout Tool lets you hide sensitive parts of your chart before analysis:

  • Access: Go to Settings → Privacy
  • How to Use: Draw rectangles over sensitive areas (account balances, personal info, etc.)
  • Protection: Blackout areas are excluded from analysis
  • Flexibility: Add or remove blackout areas anytime

When to Use Blackout​

  • Hide account balances or portfolio values
  • Protect personal trading strategies
  • Mask broker-specific information
  • Conceal any sensitive data on your screen

Email Communication​

What Emails You'll Receive​

  • Account Verification: Required email to activate your account
  • Security Alerts: Important account security notifications only
  • Service Updates: Critical service announcements (rare)

Email Preferences​

  • No Marketing: ChartLense does not send promotional emails
  • Unsubscribe: All emails include unsubscribe options
  • Minimal Contact: Only essential account-related communications

Account Security​

Authentication Options​

  • Email & Password: Standard secure authentication
  • Google Sign-In: Use your existing Google account
  • Session Management: Secure session handling with automatic timeouts

Data Privacy Rights​

  • Access: View what data ChartLense has about you
  • Deletion: Request account and data deletion anytime
