Getting Better Results

The quality of the analysis you receive from ChartLense is directly related to the quality of the chart you provide. By following these best practices, you can significantly improve the accuracy and usefulness of the AI-powered insights.

1. Use a Clean Chart

For the best analysis, your chart should be as clean and easy to read as possible.

  • Minimize Drawings: Remove any unnecessary personal drawings, trend lines, or indicators that are not essential for the analysis.
  • Clear Price Action: Ensure the price candles are clearly visible and not obscured by other elements on the chart.

2. Optimize Your Zoom Level

The zoom level of your chart is critical for providing the right context.

  • Show Enough History: The chart should display approximately 20-50 of the most recent candles. This provides enough historical context for the AI to identify the prevailing trend and recent price action.
  • Ensure Candle Detail: While showing history is important, the most recent candles should be large enough to clearly see their wicks and bodies.

3. Ensure Core Indicators Are Visible

ChartLense relies on a core set of technical indicators to perform its analysis. For the most accurate results, please ensure the following are visible on your chart:

  • Price Action: The main price chart (candlesticks or bars).
  • Volume: The volume bars, typically displayed at the bottom of the chart.
  • Moving Averages (EMAs): Key exponential moving averages (e.g., 9, 21, 50, 200) on the price chart.
  • RSI (Relative Strength Index): The RSI indicator panel.
  • MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence): The MACD indicator panel.

4. Check Screenshot Resolution

A high-resolution screenshot will always produce better results.

  • Use a Large Chart Window: Maximize your browser or trading platform window before taking a screenshot.
  • Avoid Tiny Charts: Do not try to analyze a small chart embedded in a news article or social media post. Open the chart in a full-featured charting platform first.

Common Quality Issues and How to Fix Them

Here are some common issues that can lead to a lower-quality analysis and how to resolve them:

IssueWhy It's a ProblemHow to Fix
RSI Panel Too SmallThe AI cannot accurately read RSI values or identify divergences.Expand the RSI indicator panel to be taller.
Volume Bars UnclearVolume confirmation is a key part of the analysis.Ensure the volume panel is visible and not squashed.
Timeframe Not VisibleThe analysis needs to know the timeframe (e.g., 4H, 1D) for context.Make sure the chart's timeframe is visible in the screenshot.
UI Elements Blocking ChartPop-ups or other UI elements can obscure key price data.Close any pop-ups or overlays before capturing the chart.

By taking a moment to prepare your chart, you are providing the AI with the best possible information to work with, resulting in a more accurate and reliable analysis.
